Welcome to HitchPayRide. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HitchPayRide mobile applications, websites and services (together, the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

HitchPayRide operates a technology platform that connects riders and senders with independent drivers for transport and delivery services in Nigeria. HitchPayRide is a facilitator; the transport and delivery services are provided by independent drivers.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Platform. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. Rides & deliveries
When you request a ride or delivery, you enter into a direct agreement with the driver for that service. Fares and delivery fees are shown before you confirm. You agree to provide accurate pickup, destination and package details, and not to send prohibited, illegal or unsafe items.
4. Payments
You agree to pay the fare or fee shown for each completed trip or delivery, by cash or card as available. Drivers receive their earnings, less any applicable platform fees, on the payout schedule communicated to them. Taxes apply where required by law.
5. Driver obligations
Drivers must hold a valid licence, maintain an eligible and roadworthy vehicle, carry required documents, and comply with all applicable laws. Drivers are independent and not employees of HitchPayRide.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Platform, including by harassing others, attempting to defraud, interfering with the service, or using it for unlawful purposes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Safety & conduct
All users are expected to behave respectfully and lawfully. Report safety concerns through the app or to support. We may share information with authorities where necessary to protect users or comply with the law.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HitchPayRide is not liable for the acts or omissions of independent drivers or users, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the app or website. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
